It does a nice job of representing all the perspectives that we in the CAM field face.  It is nice to see some neurologist say something nice our way!  Exhaust those conservative methods first.  It is better and cheaper in the long run.

Leo does it again with a fantastic article about doing food slow.

Starting in January 2010 the clinic will be offering Dietary Therapy cooking lessons once a month with a Master personal chef….details to come.

Until then, enjoy.

This is what we do

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs are a mystery to most.  Sure we treat difficult conditions and we perplex people with our talk of Qi, exotic herbal names, and esoteric energy metaphors.  But I like this article because this is ultimately what our Traditional Chinese Medicine can provide to our society.  Better health, fewer incidences of disease, and at less cost to all of us.

So when you ready to begin your journey to a healthier lifestyle, give us a call 952.294.9978 and let us show you the depth of wisdom that we call Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

I sure like this…

When studies of Chinese Herbal Therapies make the front page of Yahoo, in a positive manner.  We treat diabetes according to Xiao Ke in Chinese Medicine using a mix of herbs and acupuncture to help control blood sugar levels.

Yes we can treat Swine Flu

Here an article on flu, fevers, and diseases of the like in Chinese History.  It is written by a guy who is a TCM doctor and one of the countries preeminent herbalists but he is also a Western Pharmcist that teaches at USC.

But regardless wash your hands and use the crook of your elbow to cover your nose and mouth when you cough and sneeze.  No sense in spreading germs unnecessarily.  Heck Elmo knows how to do it right, so should all of us.  But if you do get sick we are can help, and better yet there is no reason why you can’t come in a get a preventative treatment every so often.  You may not need the H1N1 vaccine, we have herbals that could help if your are looking for a more natural route.

Check out the article and if you have questions about acupuncture and you live in Twin Cities, Minneapolis, Chanhassen, Excelsior, Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Chaska–somewhere in that SW quadrant.  We are available 952-294-9978, Minnesota Clinic of Integrated Medicine.

Here is one theory on why acupuncture works…and a shout out to the Arboretum

This article is the most exact to the actual mechanisms to why acupuncture is useful in pain management.  But when will people learn that there is still so much more.  The therapeutic relationship, the dietary modifications, the improved sleep.  There are so many factors when visiting your local acupuncture clinic, (hint, hint….if you live around Lake Minnetonka, Chaska, Chanhassen, Shakopee, and Eden Prairie we are right off of Hwy 5 and Market Blvd)  This week I want to focus on stress-related disorders, if you are seeking treatment for insomnia and anxiety or just need a breather.  Come talk to us and we will listen to what you have to say and we can see if acupuncture can bring you relief.

PS…before the snow comes, check out the Arboretum in Chaska–they have the most beautiful Japanese garden!!!  The leaves are changing and this place would be a great stress-reducer if you don’t see me that is.
