The cost of care…

Here is a quick read on the cost of care around the world.  What would make this better would be to include malpractice/litigation cost ratio’s associated with these procedures.  We could better understand the costs incurred due the excess lawyering we have in this country.  One fortunate side-effect with acupuncture is that in the medical world we have extremely lost malpractice insurance costs.  This translates into less expensive care for you the end user.  Our typical treatment is less than half of what just an office visit is here with no tests/blodd panels/prescriptions.  Strep throat may cost/billed as much as $400 when it is all said and done with the culture.  That is crazy for such a straightforward issue…something to think about and how you want to spend your HSA dollars.

Needles not your thing…

A big part of what I do in practice is called Tuina.  Which is Chinese Massage and Bodywork.  It is similar to Shiatsu.  It tends to be more invigorating than relaxing.  So if you have some aches and pains and want to avoid the needles we can still help you out at our Chanhassen Clinic.  Yes we do acupuncture but there is more to the medicine than that.

Open House was Fantastic

A big thanks to everyone that came out!

At our Open House last Monday we kicked-off our Happy Hour.  Come get a $20 acupuncture mini-treatment.  It is a fantastic way to relax and unwind.  If you have questions about Chinese Medicine or are curious as to what we actually do this is a fun and casual way to check it out.  We had 12 people on the first day, we can’t wait for our next one because it is going to be big and we will get a lot more people coming.  It is a fantastic way to network and meet your neighbors.
